Mooseman's Approach to Nature Photos
I'm an old school guy for sure. I've been shooting slide film for close to thirty years. I remain committed to my Nikon F100 film camera for almost all of my images. I shoot Fujichrome Professional Provia and Velvia slide film and rely heavily on existing light, time of day and weather.
In the summer of 2007 I made the decision to shoot the Nikon D80 digital camera in special situations, then in early 2008 I traded in the D80 for the wonderful D300.
My Love for moose and other wildlife has evolved to a place of respect of the animals. I take great pride in not disturbing the wildlife. I do all I can to only approach moose that are comfortable with my presence and I make every effort not to disturb them from feeding.
I love sharing my art and nearly ALL of my images are shot and presented to you in a raw and natural manner.
What you see in any of these photos is exactly what I saw thru the lens of the camera.
