High Above The Valley
If there is one image that has a story, it is this one! We had hiked half way up a mountain following a bull moose but the lighting was not ideal, and the bull disappeared into thick brush. Libby turned to start the trek downhill but pointed way across the valley to something “glistening in beautiful morning light” in the opposite direction. We love the golden light. It turned out it was an antler caught by the morning sun. Only problem, it was all the way down the mountain, then thru the valley’s rough ground vegetation and of course way up the mountain on the other side.
We decided to go for it. An hour later we found that bull - High Above the Valley. As a gift for our efforts, the bull and his two girlfriends walked along a ridge with Mt Denali as background. A totally unforgettable experience that concluded with this click.
